Who We Are
Lauren Richardson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with 15 years of experience supporting children and families in applied behavior analysis, early intervention, autism, and special education across public and private settings. She offers parent training, IEP consultation, professional trainings, home-based support, and BCBA supervision and clinical mentorship.
Stephanie Griffiths is a certified school psychologist who has supported children from pre-K through high school since 2007. She offers behavioral and educational consultation to help parents and schools better understand and support children with ADHD and learning differences, while also serving on the board of the CHADD Nassau County Chapter and supporting families through Parent-to-Parent NY.
Laurie McDevitt is a dedicated advocate for parents and children, with more than 30 years of experience in special education Her experience as a special education teacher, parent, case manager, clinical supervisor, inclusion facilitator, department lead and parent advocate gives her a broad perspective on the IEP process helping families and schools work together more effectively.
Carly Hughes is the Founder of Behind Behaviors Educational Consulting and a former special education teacher. She has worked extensively with students with diverse learning, behavioral, and executive functioning needs through IEP development, behavior assessments and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Always with a focus on meaningful student progress.
Vaughn K. Lauer, Ph.D., has more than 30 years of experience in special education across Pre-K through post-secondary settings as a teacher, professor, and administrator at the building, district, and state levels. He’s served private organizations as directors of professional development and test development, presented at national and international conferences, authored When the School Says No…How to Get the Yes! and a chapter in Autism Essentials.
